Trying to push the character designs past just “uniform ideas” and into something that already belongs to a working Formation society. Not just infantry either. Recruits, veterans, commanders, religious figures, specialist suits, enhanced bodies, operator roles, and even companion beasts. The point is to make the same Formation logic through all of them.
A lot of it should feel civil and military at the same time. The sun doesn’t really allow certainty without artificial control of the environment, so people should look like they belong to a system that trains, filters, reinforces, and keeps improving itself.
Formation characters should be like part of the same structure that the buildings come from.
